MikeyD had a real rough night last night after all the medicine from the surgery wore off.
I have never seen a little kid endure so much pain and suffering as I have watched for the past 27 days. He had a rough start to the early hours of the morning but pain management had him in good shape by 9 AM. they did not put him in a paralytic state they decided to tie his left arm down which is much better he has a thing that wraps around his chest to keep his arm from moving.
He had a full day today and did not sleep at all. He had PT OT and Speech therapy.
Julia and Ciara came to visit him today they were very anxious to see there little brother after the surgery. I only hope and pray that he can start to swallow and be able to eat food real soon he has lost a lot of weight and is fading away laying here I also hope and pray that he will be able to use his left arm and hand he does use his right to a certain extent and last but not least I really really want to hear his voice again I would love to be able to speak to my little boy it gets harder and harder by the day to sit here and wait and wait and nothing not a word. You see the pain on his face and wonder what is wrong and he can't tell you where it is.
Saint Anne I beg of you to

console Mighty MikeyD and bless Mighty MikeyD keep each of us under your
protection and guide us to our good Jesus our God Jesus he will understand Me. he will
know how to help I will rest in his Mercy Amen.
I just want to remind everyone that the healing mass is at St.Mary’s 7:30 PM on Friday night I hope you can make it there is strength in numbers the more the better.
Maybe Friday night when everyone is at the healing mass he will start to speak?

The prayers for all of you are constant and strong. Miracles happen every single day and we pray for just that for little Mikey. The community will come together on Friday and the power of prayer will be at it's best. It's easy for us to say 'hang in there' ....I realize that. It tough sometimes to find the words you think will bring comfort in such difficult times. I'm so sorry your family is going through this, especially Mikey - that lovely boy. ReplyDeleteI know it can be hard to determine where Mikey is at because the meds seem to be neccesary for the pain management, but might mask where he's at cognitively? I can only pray that day by day inch by inch he continues to fight back.I know that he's a fighter like his Daddy, and I think he knows everything you're saying right now, even if it ultimately takes a little while longer for him to tell you so.
We are with your family in constant prayer. Mikey couldn't be in a better hospital, with a better family, and his army of prayer warriors grows daily.
Mike, My heart goes out to you and Moya and the girls. I am praying all the time and thinking about Mighty MikeyD, and I saw tons of people with the bracelets on at Bayshore B2S night last night, so I know they are all praying too! This is the fight of a lifetime (be sure to take your B-vitamins ... they give you energy)! I watched those videos about TBI and it is amazing how suddenly the patients will show improvement. Keep the faith and YES-Friday night would be a wonderful, wonderful time for MikeyD to talk to his Dad! We will pray for that!

My heart just aches for all of you,especially Mikey.... Remember last week when they pushed the surgery off? Now he was able to make it through and even when they tried to stop his heart they COULDN'T !! He was probably thinking " OH NO YOU'RE NOT"....He is strong minded and seems ready for the fight and up for the challenge. We are in constant prayer and waiting along side you for a miracle. ONE DAY AT A TIME SWEET JESUS....
