Mikeyd had a full day of PT OT and Speech therapy today.
his Stomach seems to have settled down a bit some antibiotic that was being given after the surgery to avoid a heart infection was completed last night so that may have been what was causing all the problems for the past few days we hope so.
He did eat a little dry pasta today and so far so good
Mikeyd had a great visit today from another hero that did CPR with Bob to help save his life.
Rob DeStefano and his son Jack came down to visit Mikeyd and he gave them a big smile and a thumbs up.
I am sure MikeyD knows what these guys did for him and when he can talk again I know he will say Thank You !!!
My Family will never be able to thank you guys enough for what both of you have done for MikeyD .

Oh my, yes, antibiotics (as wonderful and necessary as they are) can really upset a tummy even under the BEST of circumstances. Well, my prayers today will focus on continued healing of MikeyD and having his appetite return gradually and as always for some laughter and smiles and his voice. I am still amazed at how many people around Middletown are walking around with their Mighty Mike blue and red bracelets! Keep fighting, get good rest and always, always feel the love and support and prayers that are being said by thousands of people who are out there rooting for you!!

i POSTED EARLIER BUT NOT SURE IF IT GOT READ OR ANY TRACTION. I work in the pharmaceutical industry and have interviewed lots of patients. Rare genetic disorders oftern come at times like this for unknown reasons. THe symptons Mikey is exdperiencing seem alike like Fabry or Gaucher. Please may I ask for you to inquire about genertic testing. If Miey tests postitive, it may mean a Enzyme replacement therapy would be needed - it can help!

HEllOO Doherty family!! This is your old neighbors again--we are wearing our bracelets proudly, altho baby George thinks it's for his hair!! I am so glad that Mike Jr is moving on--just the fact that he gets some fresh air and gets to see the sun again I'm sure will energize him--plus it will be so much better to have him close to home--that's so important to keep the family as together as possible through all this-plus more folks can head out to visit!
