The Surgery is definitely on the
schedule for tomorrow morning they are doing a lot of testing and preparation
right now for the Surgery in the morning, We do not know the exact time yet we
are waiting for the schedule time to come out tonight.
I just met with a few of the doctors
and they went over the details of the surgery and explained what the risk are,
I hope everyone can say some extra prayers tonight and in the morning that all
goes well for MikeyD . Father Carlos is going to do some extra praying for
MikeyD in the morning.
Just so everyone knows what the
surgery is for they are installing an internal Defibrillator on his heart as a
precaution since they found nothing wrong with his heart and do not know what
caused this horrible situation,
Dr. Vogler told me that MikeyD had a
better chance of being struck by lightning than to have this happen to him by
the way his heart checks out. I have asked the doctors over 1000 questions a
day for the last 24 days as to how and why something like this could happen to
MikeyD they say what happened to him is very very rare when something like this
happens to children and they come to CHOP they usually find an enlarged heart
or some other problem. They did say his body has a great healing process from
the damage that was done.
I will try and do a post as soon as
possible after Mighty MikeyD is out of Surgery tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteI found this prayer the other night, and wanted to share it with you. I have always prayed to St. Anthony - as the Saint of lost causes and lost items - but only after reading this prayer did I realize he was also the Saint of Miracles.
Novena Prayer to St. Anthony of Padua
O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers.
Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me the healing of MikeyD. Watch over the doctors tomorrow as they perform this very important procedure and please return Mikey D to health. Please watch over Mike, Maire, Julia & Ciara and all the Doherty's to give them the strength and inner peace they need at this time. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.
