MikeyD is out of surgery and in the recovery room.
Dr. Vetter came in and sat with us to go over everything that happened during the surgery she said everything went great except for one problem that she has never seen since she has been here and she has been here for a long long time.
She said they could not get him into CA to test the unit.
She could not believe it. She did say they have good reading on the unit so it should be fine and also that it is a good sign not a bad one that they could not get him into a CA.
Another miracle that all of you prayers are working.
We still have a very long road please keep the thought and prayers coming for Mighty MikeyD
God is listening. Michael's heart and the love around him is strong - moment by moment he's going to heal and have a greater zest for life

ReplyDeleteI am a middletown resident and although dont really remember Mikey, am praying for him. I think our boys played ball togetehr at some point. I work for a pharmaceutical company and would like to offer something that may be helpful. THere is a rare orphan disease out there called Fabry disease that is typically misdiognosed. Many of the symptons of this disease are Afib, arithmia and often GI sytmptons. It may be worth asking for a genetic counsler to test for Fabry disease. A mechanism of treatment here is enzyme relacement therapy. Not to many people understand the cause of this, and typically late onset symptons (like what Mikey experienced, are often too late)

He will be saying a healing mass for mikeyD tomorrow morning, and he also made a point to mention that you, maire, julia and ciara will all be included, as he knows you are all suffering as well...amen....Someone mentioned a hospital out here in Denver, let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do for you on this end. ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Michael has made such strides. He is quite an amazing boy. My mother told me something today that I thought I would share with you. She said that whenever she feels that she needs a bit of courage or inner strength, she looks down at her Mighty Mike bracelet, thinks of all of you, and knows she can and will do whatever it is that she has to do. Your entire family is inspiring so many people, even people such as my mother, who has only met Michael once or twice. You have our prayers each and every day.
