Sunday Night

Little mikeyD had a better day today overall. He started the morning feeling better than he did yesterday. this morning PT and OT came in and worked with him together usually they are separate since he cannot sit up or hold his head up they worked with him together. Then speech therapy came in and tried to see if they could get him to swallow they take an Ice pop and break a small piece of it and put it in his mouth to see if the cold reaction would help him swallow you should of seen his face he loved it the therapist asked him if he would like some more and he nodded yes she gave him one more small piece unfortunately she could not give him anymore because he could not swallow but I know he enjoyed the taste. After that he slept for about an hour. When he woke up he gave a big smile to Julia and Ciara when they were talking to him. Later Tom, Jim and Sue came to visit Jim and Sue started talking to him and he gave them a big smile and was feeling good right before they left he started to feel uncomfortable and right now tonight whatever pain he had yesterday is bothering him again tonight hopefully it will go away. Right now the surgery scheduled for Wednesday is tentative we should know tomorrow and will let everyone know. I am not sure if everyone reads any of the post thanks to Peggy Dunne Father Jeff will be celebrating a Healing Mass Friday night October 5th at 8pm and Father Jeff said the intention of the Mass will be for MikeyDs Healing. Everyone is welcome to come and stand before God for MikeyD. We will pray for a complete healing, we will pray for a miracle, we will stand together for MikeyD, it will be in the Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm road.

I hope a lot of you can make it the more the better.

we have had over 40,000.00 hits on the blog around 3000 hits a day I know that is from all over the world a lot from Ireland but it would be nice if a lot of us could attend the healing mass for Little MikeyD.

Thank you all again,

Keep praying and posting.

  2. At mass yesterday, I asked the eucharistic ministers and the other lector to keepy MikeyD in our prayers. Deacon's wife suggested that you contact St. John Neumann Church not far from CHOP and request that a priest come and pray over Mikey with the relic of St. John Neumann. They were at CHOP many years ago when the daughter was sick and they did the same. Everyone is praying for MikeyD and your family. I hope you feel the love that Middletown is sending to MikeyD and your entire family.

  10. Mike, I have been following your blog every day. My prayer today is that you will soon be posting that Mikey was able to lift his arms and embrace you in a full hug. I have heard of restoring some brain function with the use of cord blood, ask Mikey's doctors about that. You are an amazing family, you are blessed to have each other. I hope to see you guys soon so I can tell Mikey the hysterical story of one of the first times I met him (he was about 2 years old) :)
    Love to you all
    xoxo,
    Jackie

  11. Mike & Moire,
I am with you in this prayer for healing. Once we've accepted Christ as our Savior, there is nothing that can bring us closer to him. So although we're in Texas, so is Christ. I am in constant prayer, my family hasn't surrendered an inch. It seems to me that Mikey is moving forward, albeit slower than we want it to be. We love him and will be praying from Texas that the Lord gives the needed wisdom to those incredible caregivers to treat him for exactly what he needs. Call me anytime, day or night.

  12. The deep ache in my heart is a constant reminder to continue to pray harder for Mikey. I know God is with him and with all of you. Just hearing about his smile to Julia and Ciara and the satisfaction of tasting an ice cube helps to warm the ache. I know he is strong...and, I know his family is strong. Please lean on us and everyone in ANY way so that we may help you to stay strong. You are an amazing and special family!!! You are always in our prayers!!!!! I know there will be more smiles from Mikey D!!!!
    Love,
